Unfortunately, all roads don't lead to Saquarema! To know how to come and more precisely to the hotel, click on the links below according to your leaving point and your transport mean.

From Rio, you need to cross the huge bridge to reach Niteroi. Once you passed it, stay in the central lane to “Alamenda são Boaventura”. Keep driving straight away till “Tribobó”. When you reach Tribobó, continue on the right with “Cabo Frio” direction to get into the RJ-106 “Rodovia Amaral Peixoto".
You will pass through Marica, Inoã, Maricá, Serra de Mato Grosso, Sampaio Corrêa and finally Bacaxa. When you arrive in Bacaxa, cross the main place and go in direction of “Morro da Cruz” and also Saquarema/Boqueirão. Keep driving straight away till the bus station and the bridge of Saquarema (with the church on your left side).
If you come from São Paulo, get the BR-116 and then the RJ-106.
There are two possible ways to come to Saquarema from Buzios and Cabo Frio. It is roughly the same distance and time to drive for both ways.
Take the bus 998 which has "Niteroi" for terminus.
There are 2 main bus stations in Niteroi, ask the driver or a passenger for the "Rodoviaria - Terminal das barcas".
Cost: R$3.5 or R$4.5 - Lenght: 1h
Go to the end of the huge covered hall, turn right to reach platforms (Saquarema's one is in the middle). The bus company is "1001".
You have to pay inside the bus, directly to the driver. Make sure that the bus goes to Saquarema and not Araruama.
To get off at the right stop, ask the driver to announce you: "rodoviaria de Saquarema - o shopping [shopy]".
Cost R$8.5 or R$9.5 - Lenght: 1h30
- Take a cab: easy, fast, and pretty cheap
Cost: about R$12 - lenght: About 8 minutes
- Take a bus: Wait the next bus in front of where you got off the previous coach. No numbers but destinations: catch a bus which has "Boqueirão" or "Jacone" for terminus. Ask the driver to stop in front of the restaurant "Estação Boqueirão".
Don't get a bus which has "Saquarema" for terminus. The last stop of this bus is just one minute later.
Cost: R$2.10 - lenght: About 15 minutes
Rio de Janeiro has many bus station. Novo Rio is located at the North of Rio and buses to Saquarema, Buzios, Cabo Frio are leaving from this station. It is more convenient because they need to cross the huge bridge to reach Niteroi.
The company which serves Saquarema with direct buses is still 1001. In the station, go upstrairs and look for the 1001 sale point. The cost of the trip is R$14.5.
The bus station in Niteroi is located just next to the pier where ships operate a shuttle service between Rio and Niteroi. When you are visiting Rio, it is often more practical to reach the ship pier
than the Novo Rio bus station. You can cross the sea by boat (cost: R$2.10) and take the bus to Saquarema from Niteroi (as explained above). It is faster during peak time in Rio, and you can have a nice boat trip!
If you are in Buzios, you need to pass through Cabo Frio. To make this trip, you can get a coach 1001 or local buses, a bit cheaper. This is exactly the same to go from Cabo Frio to Saquarema with a little difference. Indeed, there are more buses which go to Bacaxa. Bacaxa is a part of Saquarema's district. This is the very commercial and professional part of the city. Once you are in Bacaxa, catch a bus which have for terminus Jacone or Boqueirão. Same remark as above: don't take a bus with Saquarema for terminus, you'll get closer but you'll need to get another bus...
